I wanted to say what a great video of that school you posted was. Unfortunately (while I think kids would benefit immensely from teaching such as that), I doubt the stuffed shirts in Washington D.C. would go for anything remotely so unorthodox. It had my wife and I thinking back to when we were kids & they would have those Schoolhouse Rock Commercials on in between Saturday morning cartoons, so we YouTubed a bunch of them & I was surprised at how many we remembered...25+ years later. That kind of teaching works, but it is too bad that most people cannot see it. The way we are doing things in America isn't working so great right now. Cough, well sometimes we don't have time to watch a 90 minute presentation from ted.com :-) We've heard your disembodied voice on many many chess videos, plus the two recent interviews, but I think the chess community would enjoy a face-to-face presentation.
